Drumcliffe
Drumcliffe is one of Ireland’s most beautiful and historic locations. The site of St. Columba’s Church, the High Cross of Colmcille, the round Tower and the final resting place of W.B.Yeats 1868-1939 whose Great Grandfather was rector St. Columba’s Church & High Cross here in the early 19th century.

In 574 St. Colmcille built a Monastery here. All that remains is The Cross and the Tower.
